For indoor Spaces (fawcett hall venue, LOUNGE, + Restrooms)

In the interest of keeping our guests and staff protected and healthy, Alma Mater’s Fawcett Hall venue and other indoor spaces will require all event staff, performers, and attendees to show proof of either a full COVID-19 vaccination or negative COVID-19 PCR test result within 72 hours of the event. We are also requiring all attendees to wear a mask while inside and for the duration of the show.

All attendees will be required to show government-issued ID in addition to one of the following for entry:

- Your vaccine card
- A clear and legible photocopy of your vaccine card
- Photo of your vaccine card on your phone
- A digital vaccine passport or record
- A negative COVID-19 PCR test result obtained within 72 hours of the event

*Performers may choose to enforce stricter measures for their individual show. Ticket holders should refer to their event's ticketing page for more information.
*Minors do not need to show government-issued ID.
*Children under 12 years of age are not required to provide proof of vaccination or PCR test result, and are still required to follow our mask policy indoors.

FOR USING THE RESTROOM & BEING INDOORS:

While masks are optional outdoors, we require masking indoors including our restrooms.

For Outdoor Spaces (Rooftop, The Patio)

As of Wednesday, June 30, masks and face coverings are optional at The Patio, and Alma Mater no longer requires mask-wearing on our premises for guests. However, we do ask that you wear a mask if you are not vaccinated and to stay home if you are experiencing symptoms. We will continue with socially distanced seating for optimal safety, and as a courtesy to our staff and guests, please wear a mask while ordering at the bar window and in spaces where it is difficult to socially distance. Please know that the health and safety of our patrons and staff are our biggest priority. Below are the procedures we will continue to have in place to help protect our community. While we are thrilled to go "masks optional," our community still needs to take care and prevent further spread of the COVID-19 virus and its variants.

Cleaning procedures. Employees are still cleaning high-touch surfaces and sanitizing tables between guests.

Screening for symptoms. As of August 18, all employees are required to wear masks both indoors and outdoors of The Patio. Additionally, all our employees are requested to self-screen for COVID-19 or illness related symptoms daily (fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, etc.). We ask that all patrons self-screen for symptoms prior to arrival as well. If you are ill, we ask that you stay home.

Take care to protect yourself:

  • Consider if you are in a vulnerable group according to the Washington State Department of Health and CDC. Individuals who are ill or in a vulnerable group should consider to attend another time (and contact their health provider)

  • Frequently wash hands for at least 20 seconds with warm water and avoid touching your face. Restrooms are available in both the main lobby and lower lobby areas for your use. Use a paper towel to turn off water and open and close doors

  • Do not shake hands or elbow bump, waving works great!

Please refer to the following links for updated information and guidance on responding to the COVID-19 outbreak: The Washington State Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, Tacoma Public Schools, and City of Tacoma. Any changes to our procedures or performance schedules will be communicated via email, website, and social media. Thank you for your continued support of Alma!

Sincerely,
The staff at The Patio @ Alma Mater
